Meralgia paraesthetica
June 13, 2017
Meralgia paraesthetica is characterized by tingling, numbness, and burning pain in the outer thigh. It's caused by a compressed nerve. Common causes include tight clothes, obesity, and pregnancy. Trauma or diseases, such as diabetes, can also cause it.
Treatment might include looser clothing, weight loss, pain relievers, or other drugs.
