Pervasive developmental disorder

Pervasive developmental disorders are characterized by delayed social and communication development. They include autism and Asperger's syndrome.
Symptoms include difficulty with language, trouble relating to people, struggles with changes in routine, and repetitive behaviors.
Treatment may include behavior therapy and medications.
