Self-care options include eating healthy foods, being physically active, and getting plenty of sleep. Avoid alcohol and recreational drugs, as they may worsen symptoms.
Seek emergency help if:
- Suicidal thoughts
- Chance of harming oneself or others
- Sleepiness or change in alertness
- Weakness in arms or legs
Make an appointment to see a doctor if:
- Persistent
- Memory difficulties or personality changes
- Fatigue, loss of appetite, sleep problems, aches, or loss of interest in sex that's not caused by a medical condition or medication
